Native To Hybrid And Back Again

I was recently attending NativeScript Developer Day 2017 in New York City, which is Telerik’s very own NativeScript conference.

This was a fantastic conference where I was not only a participant, but also a speaker at the event. At this event I had given a fresh presentation titled, Native to Hybrid and Back Again, where I had discussed my own personal experiences when it came to mobile application development.

I want to take the opportunity to summarize what I discussed during this event and share the slides that went with my presentation.

Upcoming Presentation: DevNexus 2016

From February 15th to February 17th 2016 I will be at DevNexus 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a developer conference relating to many different technologies such as Java, Node.js, and the mobile platforms.

Upcoming Presentation: Android Developer Conference

Turns out I will be speaking at the Android Developer Conference (AnDevCon) in Santa Clara, California on December 1st, 2015 to December 3rd, 2015.

If you’re unfamiliar with AnDevCon, it is a big deal. It is probably one of the better, if not the best, development conferences focusing on everything Android.

Per the AnDevCon website:

AnDevCon is the technical conference for professional software developers and engineers building Android apps. Offering mobile app development training, embedded Android secrets, and Android app development tutorials and classes, AnDevCon is the biggest, most info-packed, most practical Android conference in the world.

Upcoming Presentation: ConnectJS 2015

In case you’re in the area and are interested, I will be in Atlanta, Georgia on October 16 and October 17 speaking at ConnectJS. This is a conference focusing on JavaScript development and mobile application development.

I will be giving two presentations titled Quick and Easy Development with Node.js and Couchbase Server and Developing For Offline Mobile Experiences.

Upcoming Presentation: Silicon Valley Code Camp 2015

In case you’re interested in seeing me present on Node.js or Ionic Framework and Couchbase, I’ll be giving two talks at the free to attend Silicon Valley Code Camp in San Jose, California. It is the weekend of October 3rd to October 4th.

The title of my talks are Quick and Easy Development with Node.js and Couchbase Server and Cross Platform Storage & Sync with Couchbase and Ionic Framework. The abstracts for both these talks can be seen below.

I’m trying something new so bare with me here. I speak at quite a few events (conferences, meetups, code camps, etc.) so I figured it would be useful to my followers to know when and where these events are in case I am in your part of the world.

Upcoming Presentation: Phoenix Mobile Festival

In case I’m in your part of the world, I’ll be giving a talk at the Phoenix Mobile Festival in Phoenix, Arizona on September 19th, 2015. I encourage you to attend or at least swing by and say hello.

The title of my talk is Building Offline First Mobile Applications and the abstract is as follows:

What happens when your mobile device does not have a network connection? That device will have no content, no experience and the amazing application that you spent so much effort to build just simply will not work.

You will gain knowledge in NoSQL databases technologies and walk away with insights on how to create offline type of applications that to sync to the cloud with Couchbase Mobile.
